AIDS Community Services has begun offering the OraQuick Rapid HIV-1 Antibody Test. Using less than a drop of blood, the device reliably detects antibodies of HIV-1 in as little as 20 minutes. Developed by OraSure Technologies, Inc., OraQuick is the first FDA-approved, CLIA waived, rapid point of care test. Read more.

In August of 1971, WGR-TV Channel 2 aired an eight-part television series that not only depicted Buffalo’s gay life, but brought harassment and entrapment charges against the Buffalo Police Department. Read more.

Women Support Each Other Through Changes
In her years of counseling, Anne Hartley Pfohl encountered numerous women dealing with the same issue — accepting their sexual orientation while still married or going through a divorce. So she created the 30 Percenters, a group that provides support for lesbians, bisexual women and those questioning their sexuality. Read more.
