Mind, Body, Spirit: LGBT Health Awareness Week
As debate about marriage equality grabs headlines across the country, it’s important to keep in mind another crucial issue affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community --- health care.
To expand health education, the Pride Center of Western New York will host events to celebrate National LGBT Health Awareness Week, beginning March 14. Cities across America are taking part in the event, sponsored by the National Coalition for LGBT Health.
Programs at the Pride Center will focus on issues such as nutrition, fitness, safe sex, insurance, spirituality and parenting through a series of informative evenings. All events areto the public at no charge.
