Transgender Health, Other Center Programs
The Pride Center’s successful Bust Out! Breast Cancer Workshop Series concludes this month with a workshop on Transgender Breast Health on Wednesday, August 11, at 7 p.m. at the Pride Center. All transgender women are invited to learn the basics of breast care, risk factors related to hormone use and other information.
Community Game Night continues on August 13 in the Pride Center’s new community room. Join us for darts, board games, snacks, friends and fun! And don’t forget Women’s Game Night on Friday, August 27th.
July brought our most successful month of Rapid HIV Testing in 2004, and we’re ready to beat that this month. Come to the Pride Center between noon and 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 26, to be positive you’re negative. Results in 20 minutes.
Coming soon is Speed Dating for Men ages 30 and over on Thursday, September 9, at 7 p.m. (Age guidelines are suggested only; men ages 18 and over are welcome to attend.) A second session for men under 30 will be scheduled for later in the month, based on interest. Space is limited, so register now at 852-7743.
