Christopher J Keller
Mental
Health Coordinator
Chris has been living in the Buffalo are
since March of 2003. He began working at the Pride Center in June of
2005 as a mental health intern and was later appointed Mental Health
Coordinator in January of 2006.
Chris
received his Advanced Certificate of Study in Agency Counseling from St.
Bonaventure University were he also received his BS and MSEd. Chris
plans to continue his work at the Pride Center after obtaining his state
licensure as a Mental Health Counselor.
"I'm really excited to be here," Chris said, "the Pride Center has given
me the opportunity to work with the LGBT community of WNY in order to
grow as a professional and individual."
As
the Mental Health Coordinator at the Pride Center of WNY, Chris
hopes to share in the vision of bringing the LGBT community of WNY
closer together. "My goal is to continue looking for ways to improve the
services and programs offered at the center. I would really like to keep
all the mental health and support groups that are currently being
offered up and running, while adding in new programs of interest and
benefit to the community, " added Chris.
