As the November election draws closer, it has become clear that the fight for same-sex marriage will be a major battleground across the country.
A federal Senate vote on the Federal Marriage Amendment, which seeks to permanently limit marriage to a union between a man and a woman, is expected to come to vote this month. Now is the time to call your U.S. Senator and voice your opinion on this issue.
Even if you have already made the call, it’s important to contact your representatives today. Encourage your friends and allies to join in the fight to protect the sanctity of same-sex relationships and support marriage equality for all.
And don’t forget to Get Out the Vote! Now more than ever, the votes in the LGBT community will make a world of difference. Register at the Pride Center or online. Also check out our online resources for letter-writing, making phone calls and other ways to help take action.
