PRIDE CENTER TO HOLD SECOND TOWN MEETING ON
MARRIAGE EQUALITY
Buffalo, NY,
April 4, 2005 - -
In order to answer questions, provide updates and dispel misconceptions
about marriage equality, the Pride Center of Western New York will hold
a second Town Meeting on Marriage Equality. The event will be held
Thursday, April 14 from 7:00 – 9:30 PM at Buffalo State College’s Bulger
Communications Center.
"Town Meeting #2: Busting Myths on Marriage Equality” is a follow-up to
a similar program held last year and is co-sponsored by the Empire State
Pride Agenda and Buffalo State College’s student group, The Pride
Alliance.

Divided into two parts, this Town Meeting will not just be an
informational session, but will also provide important training on
community organizing, strategic talking points, and other vital skills
needed to promote equality for all New Yorkers. On hand to deliver the
program will be the Pride Agenda’s Deputy Executive Director, Carmen
Vasquez and Public Policy Director, Ross Levi, Esq. Jim Ver Steeg of
the Pride Center will speak to organizing local efforts while other
members of the Western New York community will share their personal
stories.
